In cooperation with its partner Exprivia, SNP will carry out the migration of the SAP ECC ERP system to a new SAP S/4HANA system for the Italian company AQP (Group Aquedotto Pugliese SpA). The migration is to take place mainly remotely.
The order is based on an upstream extended S/4HANA assessment with AQP, which was also carried out completely remotely. The assessment included a system scan with Crystal Bridge® - The Data Transformation Platform - with which SNP enables the customer to achieve maximum added value. This project step was also carried out in close cooperation with the partner Exprivia, an international group specialized in information and communication technology with a consolidated know-how and long experience on SAP systems. On the basis of the assessment, an optimized scoping and sizing of the migration project was agreed upon and a concrete project offer was subsequently prepared.
Drinking water supply for southern Italy
AQP operates among others the Apulian aqueduct as public infrastructure for the drinking water supply of the region of Apulia and some municipalities in Campania. AQP thus supplies drinking water to a total of around 4 million people in Puglia and 30,000 in Campania. This represents more than 7 percent of the total population of southern Italy, where the improvement of the water infrastructure is of central importance for a higher standard of living.
Implement complex projects completely remotely
With the initiation of the order, SNP has once again proven its core competence in implementing complex projects completely remotely – an important aspect for SNP customers and partners, especially in times of Corona. The S/4HANA migration at AQP will also be carried out remotely for the most part.
Migration in one step
The S/4HANA migration includes, among other things, the introduction of a new general ledger (New GL) and the business partner, the unchanged transfer of processes and data during the necessary technical adjustments, and the migration in one step in just one weekend.
